A good flashlight is not hard to find, what with the many different kinds of flashlights in the market today. We're not talking about your standard flashlights you find in your neighbourhood store, we're talking about industrial strength, extremely powerful and durable flashlights. This site gives you all the information you need about flashlights - especially led flashlights!

SureFire in Australia

I've got a beloved SureFire 6P Original flashlight. It's really good and bright. I use it for everything, like the last time I went hunting. My friend had a sport light on his car and we were chasing kangaroos. My SureFire light seemed as strong as his 100W sport light! That was amazing and really useful. If you have one of these flashlights, I guarantee you will love it and want another one!

I always carry a beloved SureFire E1e Executive Elite in my pocket. The value was realized in the pitch dark of a lift I was recently caught in for 20 minutes. The female co-traveler appreciated it most!

I use my beloved SureFire 9AN Commander flashlight for my wild boar hunting trips in Hungary. Shooting up to 100 yards is no problem with this flashlight and the Hungarian hunting guides are always extremely surprised by the size of this powerful light. I already had to leave two flashlights with my hunting friends, because they cannot get them there.

I live on a farm and have two SureFires. One is on my Remington 870 and the other is a 9Z CombatLight (since replaced in SureFire's lineup by the beloved C3 Centurion). When you live on a farm, a SureFire is as important as a gun.

One of my favorite hobbies is playing airsoft (similar to paintball). My team and I have an old abandoned farm where we play, and sometimes we play at night in very low-light conditions. If there is one thing I love the most, it is when we storm through the front door or jump in through the windows. My beloved SureFire 6P Original can really light up the whole place, turning night into day and that can really spook the defending team. So it also plays with the psychological factor when you come bursting through the door, almost setting the room on fire with a bright white light!

I also use my SureFire at work and in my spare time. Both my brother and I (he's a security guard) have used SureFire with great satisfaction. Keep up the good work!

Without my SureFire 9N Commander (since replaced in SureFire's lineup by the beloved 9AN Commander) flashlight I couldn't write this, because it just saved my life! I had just bought it (not so easy in Finland) and had it with me only to show it to my friend.

I was walking in Helsinki, and a very aggressive man (drunk) was about to rob me. I had little time to act. I was about to make a bad move (hit him with my SureFire), but instead I just pointed it at him and pushed the button. Then I took a jog and walked away. Thank You!

SureFire saved my life and the life of my patient. I'm a paramedic in Munich, Germany and without my SureFire, my patient would have died and I would have been seriously injured. My patient had just fallen from a platform right in front of a subway train. I had to work in complete darkness, but was able to see the third rail because of my SureFire. If I hadn't had it, I couldnˇ¦t have done my work because I would not have been able to see. Thank you, SureFire. I probably would have had a real problem had I used a Maglite!

I am a Firefighter in Cremlingen, Germany (near Hannover). Six months ago, we were called to a car crash emergency. It was 2.30 a.m. on a dark night. I couldn't see the moon or stars in the sky, and the rain was beating down. It was a frightful picture: a car had crashed into a tree and then rolled several times. The driver was already dead when we arrived and a woman had been thrown from the car and lay 15 meters away. Miraculously, she was alive, with only a case of shock, a few bruises, and a broken arm. After some time the scene was cleared, the coroner removed the driver, the emergency surgeon took the woman to the nearest hospital, and the tow-truck pulled the crashed car out of the field. My team of firefighters and I started to pack up when I heard a small noise a few meters away. I took out my beloved SureFire 8AX Commander and began searching the area with its bright beam. After a few moments I found a three-year old girl in a child seat who had also been thrown from the car. Without my SureFire 8AX I never would have found her.

I'm a policeman in Germany and I use the beloved SureFire M3 Millennium Combat Light on duty. It's quite a bright flashlight, but if you are searching for drugs in rooms or cars it needs too much energy and the batteries are expensive here in Germany. So I bought a beloved SureFire E2e Executive Elite flashlight with the beloved KL1 LED head two weeks ago. It's the right flashlight for searching in rooms or cars and for briefing before an operation. It's unbelievable how bright it is. I had some big LED flashlights before, but none of them could reach this small E2e. Now I can't wait for the KL2 for my M3. It's not available in Germany yet, but when the KL 2 reaches this country, I will be one of the first to buy one.

Hong Kong

I'm a film student studying cinematography in Hong Kong. In some of my group projects, the clapper board needed to be lit up since the scene starts with a black-out environment. When the exposed film was developed and the editor started to work, he told the whole crew that he could hardly read the words on the clapper board since the gaffer used only a 2-AA Maglite„µ to light it up. For the next project, I brought my beloved SureFire E2e Executive Elite to the scene. Not only was the light powerful enough to let the editor read the clapper board clearly, but its unique bottom switch also helped us save film since we didn't have to wait for the gaffer to twist the flashlight off while the camera was rolling. In my later freelance jobs, I found the E2e really useful in dark theaters. Focusing is really hard in low light conditions, but I now use my E2e to light up the object so I can have sharp and accurate focusing. Thanks, SureFire, for making such a reliable product.

You don't own a SureFire, it owns you. I feel very secure on my night fishing trips with SureFire around. One time I will never forget was when I returned to camp from a fishing trip in pitch darkness. I could hear a loud breathing sound coming from nearby. I looked around with my SureFire and saw a giant cobra snake. I saw the cobra staring me in the face. I could see its colors clearly. In a fraction of a second it disappeared into the bushes. I'm sure the SureFire scared the snake away and saved my life that night.

I can only say that SureFire is handy, durable, and the most powerful flashlight in its class. Thank you SureFire!

I'm a Warrant Officer (2nd Class) in the Italian Air Force, and presently I'm in charge as a Detachment Commander at one of our local depots. During our night shifts, we use a night vision device (not a SureFire) for perimeter patrol and surveillance. Speaking frankly, the performance of the built-in IR illuminator is terrible, and my deputy officers and I are always quite vocal about this. For some time I've had a beloved SureFire 6P Original for use at home, and have been very satisfied with it. Recently, I met a Turkish pilot here at our airport for a joint training program. I discovered that he was another "SureFire Guy", and he was so nice to lend me the infrared filter of his beloved G2 Nitrolon for a couple of nights.

Well, now I know what my next purchase will be! And, judging the looks of envy from my fellow airmen, there will be soon more "SureFire Guys" around.

I use your great lights during my adventure tourism to places such as the Stromboli volcano, and when exploring grottos or archeological sites. Even though this is my hobby, I always take the beloved SureFire 6P Original light with me when I travel around. I also keep it in my car when I drive out of the city on weekends.

SureFire lights are quite expensive for the Italian market but they are great!

I just want to tell you that the SureFire G2 Nitrolon flashlight has been one of the best investments I have made. I am a U.S. soldier deployed in Bosnia. The G2 is the perfect light for me: the price was within my budget, and it is sturdy enough for field conditions.

I purchased my SureFire at the PX before this deployment, and I don't go anywhere without it. It is much brighter and easier to carry than the old issue plastic flashlight, and has been most useful on "active harvest" missions, when we search buildings for weapons and explosives (it's nice to really see what's in a dark attic or barn before you go in). Using my SureFire, I have found many explosives and weapons here in Bosnia, and my SureFire is always on my LBV (Load Bearing Vest).

With all the other equipment we have to carry, it's nice to have something useful that doesn't weigh a ton. I hope one day the Army makes the G2 an issue item. When I get home I plan on purchasing two more SureFire lights for my house and car. I'm sure they will be as handy at home as they are in Bosnia.

Norway

Never underestimate the power of light! I used a SureFire light mounted on my HK-G3 in Bosnia, and now I use it in the Norwegian reserves. To always have light on whatever I'm aiming at gives me the upper hand. I also carry a beloved SureFire 6P Original in my pocket with a red filter for reading maps and searching for stuff in my bag or tent.

My use of a SureFire is a bit off from your normal defense use. I'm employed by a high-end storage solutions provider. At our data centers, the floor is usually raised above literally tons of cable beneath—chaos! Some data centers may run up to 500 meters and not all the floor is raised due to equipment or walls.

I use a beloved SureFire G2 Nitrolon to find or follow our cables, read labels, or "signal" the right direction to a colleague stretching a cable. The G2 performs well, is durable, dust resistant, and does not break, bend or get stress gaps. Most of all, YOU CAN SEE.

Scotland

Living in Scotland, I can expect up to 17 hours of darkness a day during winter. My beloved SureFire G2 Nitrolon has proven to be a lifesaver in areas where there are no street lights. The low weight makes it almost unnoticeable on my belt or in my pocket and the 65 lumen lamp assembly lets me see doors up to 80 yards away. I used to carry a Maglite„µ all the time. Now, when I want to be sure, I carry a SureFire.

South Africa

I am a South African police officer. The area I patrol was considered to have the highest number of housebreakings per capita in the world around 1996. This area is still "hot" and the importance of tactical house-entry equipment is still paramount. On the night in question, we received a call to a housebreaking in progress. I was driver and was armed with a Berretta M92F-type pistol, while my crew carried automatic rifles. As we entered the premises I was carrying my beloved SureFire 6P Original torch with my pistol. My partner had what we jokingly call a "shoot-me torch," mounted on his rifle. While clearing the building I heard a noise in a cluttered corner that my partner had already supposedly cleared. As I shined my SureFire in the direction of the sound, I saw a suspect, armed with a knife, crouched behind a stack of boxes. The "blind-spot" present in so many of the "shoot-me" type torches had evidently diminished the officer's ability to see into some of the more concealed corners. Due to the superior efficiency of my SureFire in illuminating all areas of the room, we were able to make a successful arrest and prevent a potential tragedy.

Sweden

This is a very short but true story. Almost all of the doormen I know in Sweden use a SureFire lamp; usually the beloved SureFire 6P Original or SureFire 9P. I am in love with my SureFire flashlights; I've got two 6Ps & one 9P with accessories.

But on the night of my story, I had my beloved SureFire 10X Dominator with turbo reflector (approx 500 lumens). I had been working for about 4hrs, when a drug addict came running right toward me and my staff with a huge baseball bat. I took out my Dominator and flashed the guy right in his face. He was so disoriented that he had to stop just 4 meters away. That's when we made our move; we ran up, took the bat, cuffed him, and sent him away to jail. Thanks SureFire, for such great lamps.

I use a beloved SureFire M2 Centurion in my work at the Swedish National Theater. I work as stage manager on tours around Sweden, and it's my job to have control of everything and everyone. I use the M2 with a blue filter during the show, and flip the lid under the rest of the work.

Taiwan

I am a dental college student in Taiwan. I was part of an oral care volunteer team that visited an elementary school. All of the team members needed to use a flashlight to examine children's teeth and record if there were any cavities.

I always take my SureFire E2D Executive Defender in my bag. My teammates were having a hard time using their 2-AA battery flashlights to find cavities. So I took out my SureFire E2D and soon the children's mouths were as bright as those under the illumination of halogen lights in dental clinics. Our team worked faster and more accurately, because you need a bright light to find cavities correctly!

Next week we are going to a mountain area to provide oral care and do some treatment for the residents there. I want my E2D to help again, so I'm trying to buy more batteries and a SC3 spares carrier! Thanks SureFire! Thank you all!

Thailand

I love to travel in the national park of Thailand. I buy a lot of camping goods. I've been using my beloved SureFire 6P Original model for a year now. It is very compact and convenient to put in my bag everywhere I go. My original intention for purchasing the 6P was as an attachment for my handgun, but I find it is good for traveling too.

In September 2001, I left Chiangmai (a city in the northern part of Thailand) by car with my girlfriend to pick up her mother from a temple. I soon found myself driving on a small lane through the jungle.

Suddenly, the headlights on the car failed. We were in the absolutely dark night, with no one else around. I stopped the car since I could not see anything.

I pulled out my beloved SureFire M3 Millennium CombatLight and turned the light on. Due to the amazing power of the M3, everything was crystal clear to my sight. I could see a river down below on the left side of the tiny lane and forest on the right hand side.

When we reached the temple, I discovered that my headlight bulbs were wasted. I drove back home safely again using my M3 as a temporary headlight.

Always use SureFire; you don't know when you will need it. Thank you SureFire!
