A good flashlight is not hard to find, what with the many different kinds of flashlights in the market today. We're not talking about your standard flashlights you find in your neighbourhood store, we're talking about industrial strength, extremely powerful and durable flashlights. This site gives you all the information you need about flashlights - especially led flashlights!

Man flings lightning bolts as hobby

I was first attracted to your flashlights because of your recurring mention of cool science. I really liked that because of my literally shocking hobby. I build devices that fling bolts of lightning throughout the air. The official name for these devices is Tesla Coils, and they boost the 115 volts available in the typical home to around 500,000 volts!

It is rather difficult to describe Tesla Coils, so I usually find it best to show people a photo of them. The problem is that they can be rather difficult to photograph. The spark only shows up well in the dark (like real lightning), but when it's dark, you can't see the device itself. That's where flashlights come in. I set my camera to a 3-4 second exposure and "paint" the light on with a flashlight, illuminating the Tesla Coil, while leaving the background dark for the spark to stand out.

I recently got a SureFire E2e Executive Elite and tried it out on this style of photography. The first thing I noticed was that I couldn't keep the light on for the entire exposure because the light was too bright and would overexpose the picture. Wow! Also, the light was a blazingly clear white light, which brought out every color, gave a sharper look to the picture, and overall made the thing look much better. I now carry both the picture and the E2e wherever I go, eager to show both technological achievements off to anybody with an interest in cool science.

Open wide and say, "SureFire"

This year I have purchased:

Three SureFire E2e Executive Elite
One SureFire A2 Aviator
One SureFire E1e Executive Elite
One SureFire G2 Nitrolon
One gift set with SureFire C2
Centurion and E2e Executive Elite
96 Lithium Batteries
2 sets of replacement bulbs

I gave most of them away as presents. I use my E2E-SG in my dental office for exams outside of the operatory. I have many developmentally challenged patients who refuse to sit in the chair, but they are more than happy to open wide for a waiting room exam. Nothing lights up the dark wet cave of the human mouth like a SureFire. Needless to say, many friends ask me to just "take a look" at something in their mouth when I am not in the office. They are shocked at the power of the small pocket light. Chairside, when I need to check the sinus systems, I can put an infection control barrier over the light and transilluminate the maxillary and frontal sinuses to check for infection. I also use the E2e to transilluminate a tooth to show the patient cracks and craze lines.

My 6-year old son loves his G2 Nitrolon, but he wishes it had a lock out tail switch (hint, hint). He takes great pride knowing his flashlight is the brightest in the neighborhood.

Tip: If you have some APS photo canisters lying around, two SureFire 3-volt lithium batteries fit perfectly inside. This way you can have spares everywhere in a semi-protected case.

Thanks for making a superior product line. I am looking forward to seeing new and improved models and LED technology in the future. Yes, I'll buy those too.

They won't bug me again

I noticed several mosquitoes in our home last night. They seemed to be hiding in the crown moldings, and along the ceiling. I used my SureFire 9N (since replaced in SureFire's lineup by the 9AN Commander) light to help me spot them in the room's shadows. At first it was a contest. As I tried to catch/crush each mosquito with a napkin they would fly away to avoid me. I felt like I was doing a dance trying to get them on my 8' ceiling, and when I did get one by crushing it, it made a mess on my freshly painted walls or ceiling.

This is where the 9N comes in. When I spotted a mosquito on the ceiling I illuminated it and moved the light right on top of the mosquito. They don't move with the bright light on them. Then I would gently hold the light against the ceiling, trapping the mosquito between the light bezel and the ceiling. After 10 seconds the mosquito died from the heat right on the light's bezel.

I cleared my house of 34 mosquitoes this way last night. The 9N light helped me find and dispose of them without making a mess of my walls and ceilings. I realize that this is not a very glamorous use for a SureFire light, but it works very well. I know how I'll be getting rid of mosquitoes in my home in the future!

Gets his kicks from flicks at chicks at flicks

I have a diverse technical background and pack a SureFire 6P Original in my pocket at all times. There just isn't enough time to describe all the times SureFire has increased the quality of my life, technically, professionally and personally.

However, there is one application I love to use my SureFire for. When our little group heads out to the movie theater I race in to grab a good set of seats while the ladies grab goodies at the concession stand. They usually arrive just before the flick starts up and the theater is dim to near black and very difficult to find me.

No problem. With the SureFire 6P, as soon as I see them enter the theater I give my light a quick bump on the tailcap and the girls always find me without any extra effort. My woman finds me to be a true embarrassment firing this light off in the theater, but I always get my popcorn and drink delivered straight to my seat in time for the opening credits.

Who needs a lighting crew when you have a SureFire

I am a video producer. While taping a night scene on a remote desert set in New Mexico, our generator failed. This particular scene called for minimal light to be spilled on two actors. Rather than wrap for the night, I whipped out my SureFire E2e Executive Elite and, to the amazement of the entire crew, the scene went off without a hitch. It saved a lot of production dollars.

Thanks, SUREFIRE!

Bullfrogs not jumping for joy over SureFire

I own several different SureFire lights and find myself using them for all sorts of things, but as the summer months start they come out for something totally different. A friend loves bullfrog legs and going after them is a fairly fun night activity. Since we both wear heavy snake chaps and boots and carry assorted gear from gigs and bows to .22 rifles, we don't have much room for heavy lights. This is where SureFire comes in. We can each carry several SureFire lights and spare batteries and still not have half the weight and bulk of a 4 D-cell light. I use my SureFire A2 Aviator with white LEDs as a navigation light and a 6P Original with clickie as my rifle mounted light. I also carry an E2D Executive Defender as a spare and generally have an E1E Executive Elite clipped to my hat for when I need to have my hands free. Even though we wear protective gear for snakes your lights help us sidestep certain angry reptiles, and they also work well at stunning the frogs and holding them in place for us to move closer. Thanks, SureFire, your products make spending time in the outdoors at night a lot easier.

SureFire helps clean-up at the speed of Mercury

I work as an emergency services coordinator in my county. The day after I got my SureFire Outdoorsman E2O and equipped it with a high output bulb, I got a call for a response to a nursing home for a mercury "spill". It was determined that the mercury had been tracked throughout two floors of the building. Emergency personnel with all brands of lights were searching for the little beads of mercury, and I had an idea... I laid the E2O on the floor and rotated it like the hand of a clock. Suddenly, the floor sparkled with little beads of mercury. The other lights, used in the same way, could hardly pick out the mercury because the yellowish tint of their beams was too close to the color of the floor tile. Moving around the building with my light, we were able to accomplish clean-up in less than two hours. It would have taken all night to locate the material with the "sniffer" the hazmat team uses. The patients were back in their rooms before their normal bedtime.

That light impressed a lot of people!

Bicyclist really uses his head

A few months ago I purchased a SureFire G2 Nitrolon to carry with me while I mountain bike. I also have a Niterider„µ dual-beam system on my bike. The Niterider unfortunately decided to go out on me while I was riding on a wooded trail. I strapped the G2 to my helmet using the strap from my water bottle battery. I suddenly realized that the G2 makes a good helmet light. It provided more than enough light to guide me back to the parking area. I've decided to keep it on my helmet when I go night riding. It's just as bright as the bike helmet lights, but not as heavy. Just thought you would like to hear of another use for your great flashlight.

SureFire knows how to deliver when it counts

I have owned my SureFire 6R (since replaced in SureFire's lineup by the 6P Original with KR2 rechargeable conversion kit) for many years and it is quite a complement to my duty gear. I am a professional in the emergency services field, as well as the security field. When I respond to emergency calls, I never know what I will find. Once I used my SureFire light to deliver a baby when there was no other light in the room. When I asked the woman in labor why she didn't have any light bulbs in the fixture overhead, she said that when the neighbors jump up and down the bulbs fall out. I placed my SureFire 6R in the crook of my neck and proceeded to deliver the baby. With the focused beam of the 6R, it was easy to see what I was doing and made what could have been a terrible and dangerous situation into an accomplished rescue!

Thanks for saving my butt, SureFire!

Owning a SureFire can make you money

I am a pizza delivery driver, and I have carried my Nitrolon P101 WeaponLight for about four months. It has helped me get through a lot of tough lighting situations, from working on the car on the run, to spotting houses and potentially dangerous situations. One night, however, I was delivering to a local fraternity. A guy there had bought his girlfriend a ring for Christmas. He was showing it to his friends on the balcony and had dropped it into a pit of wood chips and shrubbery. I was delivering another frat boy his pizza and asked the guy if he needed a light, since he was using an Everready® flashlight with dying batteries. I gave him my SureFire and almost instantly the ring was found. The guys thanked me and gave me a large tip for helping out.

SureFire helps future Olympian retrieve implement

We keep a SureFire on the headboard of our bed. I have used it to patrol the house looking for the boogieman when my husband is out of town. It is also very handy when my youngest daughter spits out her pacifier. She must be trying for an Olympic record; I have had to search the house, driveway, car, under furniture, and it is a lot easier when I have my SureFire to light the way! Thank you for a great light!

The Force is with SureFire

My story is a simple one. This SureFire did not save a life, but it did make my four year old son a very happy child. At his day care center they were having a little play (Star Wars). My son got to be Anakin Skywalker with the help of a lightsaber made from his SureFire light and a blue plastic sword from Disneyland. The light fit perfectly with a small modification, and it was 10 times brighter than any other lightsaber on stage.

You can even make the life of a 4 year old happy. Thanks SureFire!

Doctor's prescription: Use a SureFire flashlight

I have been meaning to write to you for quite some time to tell you what incredibly wonderful products you make and sell. Your products affect my life in a number of positive ways. First off, I'm a pediatric anesthesiologist and am always confronted by the immense problem of starting intravenous lines on small children. Being able to trans-illuminate a child's hand, thereby showing clearly where the veins are, has added immensely to the quality of care I can provide, making health care better and safer for children. Second, as a physician I work long hours and am rarely home before dark. Your flashlights allow me to safely run/jog down the streets in my area (no streetlights) by clearly illuminating the path in front of me, without having to carry one of those huge Maglites®. Third, as an individual, your flashlights allow me the means to greatly enhance my self protection in dark environments.

I simply can't say enough good things about your products. They are excellently made, and very aesthetically appealing. I have shown your flashlight to other medical colleagues and they all have been interested in obtaining them. All areas of medicine that deal with children could benefit from your products

Again, let me tell you how truly wonderful and excellent a product you make.

Roadie enjoys working outside the spotlight

I work backstage at one of the largest rock clubs in New Jersey. I'm constantly climbing around; over and under all kinds of amps, gear, wires, rigging, lighting trusses, etc.— most of the time in dark or near dark conditions. The band gets the spotlights, so I only get what light I bring to work with me.

I bought a SureFire 6P Original three years ago and, since then, what had been a dark backstage area is now quite bright. I've used other manufacturers' lights, but none compare to the output and size of your flashlights. Road crews with their mass of M**lights, even the big ones, can't believe that my pocket light blows away their five-cell lights. A lot of guys on road crews are starting to buy SureFires as well after seeing their light intensity.

My favorite story is the time one of the side spotlights went out on a band and I had to crawl on the side of the stage to reconnect the power cable. I was using my 6P to find my way and the lighting guy said it looked about as bright as the small side spot I was fixing, and he was 250 feet away! He bought one the next day. All I can say is your lights are FANTASTIC tools for people who use lights daily in their work. Keep it up, you guys light up my nightlife!

No brushes needed to paint with SureFire

I don't know if you'll believe me, but I use my SureFire for my photography hobby and it's great. I use it all the time, especially during experimental shoots indoors. One time I used it on a light painting photo shoot for a photo contest. The picture came out great. Even though I didn't win the contest, I was satisfied with my shot and that's the most important thing.

Owner horses around with SureFire

I've owned a SureFire 6P Original for about five years. I've also given them as gifts to friends who can hardly believe their eyes. When our 28-year old mare developed a bad joint, my wife and I put her in a corral about 150 feet from our house. She needed constant monitoring. If she went down, she couldn't get up by herself and needed help. We took turns for many weeks getting up at night and using the 6P to see if she was up or down. Incredibly, the little 6P put her in the spotlight and saved lots of trips out in the cold! When she did go down, the 6P illuminated everything for us to work, even in the rain and the mud.

Down in the sewer but still lookin' good

I am a director of photography and have used a SureFire flashlight to light actors. I was in Slovakia filming a miniseries on the Warsaw Uprising for NBC. I had many scenes set in sewers and couldn't imagine how to light the actors. Among my assistants the trend was to own SureFire flashlights, so I discovered these amazingly powerful lamps and ordered a few.

I gave some to the actors, which they used hidden inside period flashlights. I kept a few to bounce on white cards or use directly. I even used them under water. There is one shot of a baby under water whose face is lit by a SureFire flashlight.

The other guys stink up the place

We have two retired racing greyhounds. Each night, before I let them out for a last time in their fenced run, I check the perimeter for skunks. They don't show up until it's too late with a Maglite or a Streamlight, but with my SureFire 6P Original--gotcha!

A maze yourself and others

I have so many praises for my SureFire G2 Nitrolon that I'm not sure where to start. The day after I purchased my G2 I made the annual visit to the local corn maze with my wife. Not only was the beam so powerful that it easily lighted our path but it also gave away the position of a couple of kids who were trying to hide in the corn. Our mechanic was trying to solve a problem in an engine in bright daylight with his D cell flashlight. I handed him my G2 and asked if it was better. Needless to say he used it the rest of the time he was working on the car. I use the light for repairs at my computer job. One day someone accidentally got a CD stuck in a case. The room was poorly lit and the silver CD blended in with the silver in the computer case. It took me about 3 seconds to find the lost CD with my G2. I have used my G2 for my EMT duties. It illuminates injuries much better than any other light out there.

Please be very, very, very careful

I have used my SureFire light for the past six years as my primary backup light source for newborn circumcisions. As a very active mohel, or ritual circumciser, I am often asked to perform a circumcision in less than ideal circumstances where poor lighting conditions could have a potential adverse affect on the outcome of my work. I always carry my light holstered to my belt where it can be readily accessed and handed to a bystander to assist me. It is reliable, compact, extremely bright, well constructed and technologically advanced...I love it.

Afterward, I always field always questions about the brightness and compactness of my light and of the name of the brand. I also use my light as a backup when I engage in my hobbies of camping and caving (Speleologist exploration). Continue the good work.

Hogs not wild over novel SureFire usage

Let me start out by saying it is legal to hunt feral hogs at night in Texas. A group of us enjoy bow hunting feral hogs and true to their nature the hogs are most active at night. When stalking hogs in the dark, some form of light is necessary to let you make an accurate shot and to keep you from tripping over cactus or the occasional rattlesnake. Many different lights have been tried with mixed results. They were usually either too dim, too large, or too fragile. Two years ago I read an article about tactical lights and decided if a light could be mounted on a shotgun then why not on a bow. I bought a SureFire 9P and a pressure switch. I attached it to a bow stabilizer using a set of 1 inch rifle scope rings. With it screwed into the stabilizer hole on the front of my bow and the switch attached to the front of the handle with Velcro, I can see well enough to take shots up to 40 yards even with a red filter on the light. This has become the standard against which all other hunting lights are compared.

Rudolph unavailable, so SureFire lights the way

One Christmas, my family and I were enjoying a get-together at my brother's house. Early in the evening, it began to snow heavily, so everyone decided to make it an early night and get home before the roads became too dangerous. So I loaded my wife and 2 small children into my SUV and headed home. I had been having intermittent problems with my headlights, and I just could not track down the problem. About half way home, on an unlit portion of curvy road, one of my headlights went out again, so I switched on my high beams. EVERTHING WENT BLACK!!! I immediately went into my pocket, pulled out my SureFire E2E Executive Elite and pointed it out the window in front of the SUV, lighting the snowy road enough to see. My wife was amazed by how bright the little light actually was. We were able to slowly drive the SUV through heavy snow back to a lit section of road, and safely home. This may not be the most glamorous story about how a SureFire saved the day, but it got my family home safe, and that's good enough for me. Keep up the good work.

Eggceptional lighting

I must relate a little story about a SureFire flashlight. We took one over to Scotland with us and showed it to the friends we were staying with. They live in the countryside where there is no light pollution, so when you go out on a rainy night it is DARK. Anyway, we were aiming the flashlight at distant trees, etc., my host was so impressed that I gave it to him as a gift. And he, like most guys, is difficult (other than scotch whiskey) to buy for.

The next night he took his daughter out to show her the power of the light and she too was impressed, but in a different, female sort of way. This gal raises native and exotic fowl and is very much into raising these birds from eggs. She used the flashlight to put under the egg and she could see whether or not there was a chick in it. It works marvelously, better than anything else she has tried. The only downside is her dad now has to borrow "her" flashlight.

Baby's first vision in life: A SureFire flashlight

I am a registered nurse working in labor and delivery. I have used my SureFire 6P Original flashlight on numerous occasions to help me do my job. During the blackout, I provided ample lighting with my SureFire 6P to assist with the delivery of a baby.

As seen on TV and video: SureFire

I use my SureFire 6P Original daily as an operator of a microwave truck for the local ABC affiliate in Denver. Since my working hours are after dark, I depend upon the 6P to make sure there are no overhead power lines before extending the mast on the truck.

I have also used the 6P as a camera light in Africa and Europe. More than once I have used it to illuminate the subject of my video while the light was fastened to the top of a baseball cap on my head. It has a great, even beam pattern, long run time, and is highly portable.

He found it on the web

I bought my SureFire C2 Centurion for tactical purposes at a local knife show. Later that night, I was aiming the C2 inside my house when I happened to aim it at the popcorn/acoustical ceiling. Holy cow! There was a highway of spider webs throughout my house. During daylight hours I couldn't see the spider webs, and at night, with the house lights on, the spider webs were invisible. I ended up vacuuming the webs all night. This was not really a tactical story, unless fighting your local spider population counts as such.

Useful even at a real hole-in-the-wall

I am renovating my attic, installing wiring and central air conditioning. I used my SureFire light to illuminate between walls from holes drilled in headers in order to find the best path for ducting and wiring. No other light source was able to provide the same combination of small size and brightness to illuminate the area well enough for me to see the situation. As a result, I was able to run what needed to be run with a minimum of disruption to the walls and ceilings of the living space in the rest of my home.

The SureFire light is also great for lighting street signs at a distance when looking for an address!

Sam + 10X = A better lawn

I'm not the kind of guy who would NEED a SureFire 10X Dominator, but since I think SureFire flashlights are terrific, I bought a used Dominator on eBay. It wasn't long before I came up with an unusual use for it.

My family and I live in suburban Minneapolis very close to a wildlife refuge. For years, some critters have been coming into my yard at night and digging small holes all over the place. I've never seen it happen and did not know what kind of animal was doing it. One night this spring, we let our Golden Retriever (Sam) out to run around in the yard and all of a sudden there was all sorts of snarling, barking, and other nasty sounds coming from the back yard. My son ran into the house and yelled "Dad, get your flashlight and come out here right away!". By the time I got outside, the noise had stopped and Sam was standing on his hind legs, leaning against our neighbor's fence and staring intently up into a tree.

I shined the Dominator up into the tree and discovered two very large raccoons had climbed up high into it. I continued to illuminate the raccoons with 500 lumens for a couple of minutes so the rest of my family could get a good look at them. The raccoons just sat motionless in the bright light with Sam staring at them. Then we turned off the light and went in the house.

It's now about a month later and there are no holes being dug in my yard at night. I can't prove it, but I think Sam and 500 lumens of blinding light have scared away the raccoons permanently. Plus, now I'm fairly sure what kind of animal was digging the holes.

Lose a house but gain a battlefield

During Hurricane Ivan, a friend of mine's house was flooded because he lives close to a river. The lower floor of his house was destroyed, and before they remodeled the house, we had an opportunity to play airsoft in his house. We played at night, and I put my SureFire C3 Centurion on my gun and had my E2e Executive Elite in my pocket. With SureFire's great illumination, I was able to see my opponents very well, and keep myself out of pain. Thanks, SureFire, and keep up the good work.

A vote for SureFire and the American way

I got my first SureFire while stationed onboard one of the U.S. Coast Guard's polar icebreakers. My job called for making rounds of the external decks and checking on gear secured outside. A dark night in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with no moon or stars is black as coal. The SureFire 6P Original that the ship issued was the only flashlight bright enough with a red filter on to light up the myriad tripping hazards on deck, and small enough to carry around on my belt all the time. In addition, since the filter had a flip-up feature, I could instantly turn the 6P back into a white light for peering into the inky depths of a rack of computer equipment.

Since that tour, I have discovered the great little E2E Executive Elite. I gave one to my wife, my mom, my brother, and now my dad. I don't have one (yet), but I have an E1E Executive Elite that is usually with me whenever I don't have the 6P close at hand. We have all found many different uses for these powerful little lights, but so far I think my mom has the best story.

My mother had taken her 90-year old next-door neighbor to the polls to vote in a local election. The inside of the voting booth was poorly lit, and the elderly woman's eyes were not up to the challenge. However, utilizing a magnifying glass and the flood of light from my mother's E2E, she had no trouble seeing clearly to cast her vote. Thanks to your fine flashlight, this woman was able to make her voice heard. Thank you for making such a fine product that truly supports the American way.

More frozen locks in Michigan

I work for a dining services company at a small college in Michigan. Recently, I needed to move some equipment. I went to load the items in the company van and found the lock frozen. I didn't have a cigarette lighter or a can of de-icer. However, I did have my SureFire E2e Executive Elite. I switched the light on and held it against the lock. After about 10 seconds the lock was thawed. An unconventional use maybe, but it got the job done.

Engineer generates warm feelings with his SureFire

This story is not as dramatic as some, but once again my SureFire proved the most useful tool in my arsenal against chaos. I am an engineer who travels around at my employers behest to fix quality/technical issues. I bought my SureFire originally to help spot small hydraulic leaks on big moving equipment. Worked like a charm!

While enjoying the sunny south last month on a 2 week tour my trusty Ford truck was parked in long-term parking at the Airport. While I was experiencing sunny 60s, Grand Rapids, MI, was experiencing torrential rains. Then snow. By the time I returned home on a late-night flight, it was 0 degrees with a 15 mph wind. I wheeled my luggage out to my truck. The cab door was frozen shut. I inserted my key in the door lock--frozen solid. Went around to the other door—also frozen solid. In a moment of shear desperation I remembered the warnings about the heat generated by SureFire lights. I turned the light to continuous on, held it against the metal lock for what seemed an eternity but probably was a couple of minutes and viola! Thawed lock!

I pried the door open with a plastic comb from my grooming kit. After I started the truck and got the frost off the windows I drove to where you pay to leave the lot. I pulled into the gate and found my window was frozen and wouldn't roll down to allow me to insert my credit card and parking ticket. I backed-up a little, got out of the truck and paid my 71 bucks, got back into the truck and...nothing! The gate remained closed. So I used my light to signal a passing security car. The nice officer let me go home.

Patient gets earful of SureFire

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how great a lighting product you produce. I have had my SureFire E2O for over a year and I carry it religiously. This is despite the fact that I'm always asked, "why do you need to carry a flashlight around"? Well, carrying this "flashlight" has proved a great help time and time again, especially when those same people who ask "why?" are the ones I'm assisting.

I use my SureFire for everything from finding lost items around the house to finding my way to my favorite hunting or fishing spot before dawn. I guess the most unusual use was recently at work. I work as a nurse practitioner at a community health center seeing patients with different types of health conditions. I had one patient who presented to the clinic with an urgent issue. He stated that he had a buzzing sound and felt something tickling in his ear. It had started just a few minutes ago while working in his yard.

I examined his ears with the usual otoscope and saw he had what appeared to be an insect in his ear. I was going to attempt to extract it but the light from the otoscope was not bright enough. I quickly reached for my SureFire and had plenty of light to see the moth that had flown into his ear! I had my assistant hold the SureFire while I extracted the moth easily. The patient was impressed with my light, so I directed him to where he could purchase one of his own. I will continue carrying my SureFire daily because you never know when you'll need a "real" light!

Street signs have no place to hide

I use my SureFire to illuminate street signs while driving at night. With the SureFire, I need not turn the car to aim the headlights and flash high beams to read a residential street sign. The strong beam of the flashlight is just as powerful, with more mobility.

Australian cats purrsnickety test subjects

I remember the first time I was introduced to SureFire lights—I had been browsing eBay for suitable LED flashlights, to my disappointment the majority of the results were cheap and overall not very bright!

However along my search I came across SureFire's E2D Executive Defender model and saw that it was quite modestly priced for a flashlight. So I investigated a little more and discovered the lumen rating SureFire uses to distinguish the power of their lights. I later purchased a C3 Centurion model and discovered that I had the power of a portable sun in my hands.

The torch has had its uses, so far I managed to use it on my cat, who recently took a lunge into my foot, trying to bite a chunk out. Funny enough I was carrying my C3 with me and decided to test it on my cat. He definitely didn't like it and instantly looked the other way closing his eyes.

I am absolutely amazed at how powerful the light is, even with eyes closed this device feels like fire is on your eyes.

I currently am debating on whether to go for the M6 Guardian or the 10X Dominator and see just how bright the most powerful flashlight surefire makes actually is!

Your lights are one-of-a kind. Thanks SureFire!

Peering more deeply into the Time Tunnel

Having traveled the world never sans a trusty SureFire, I had come to think that I had used one of my little marvels of light technology in just about every possible type of situation but, as life would have it, I was recently proven wrong.

I was in Israel for a three week stint, and after all my business obligations were fulfilled, I decided to do some sightseeing. My recently acquired SureFire E2D Executive Defender gave me a feeling of security as I walked the night time streets of Tel Aviv, Haifa, Tiberius, Safed and Jerusalem. The flashlight's high lumen output made even the darkest alleys and blackest corners seem friendly and once even repelled the approach of a questionable character with its blinding photon pulse.

One evening, after taking in a full day in the Old City of Jerusalem, a friend and I signed up for a tour of the tunnel system, sometimes called "The Rabbi's Tunnel," that traverses the area beneath the Muslim Quarter along the Western Wall. This incredible labyrinth was first explored by two British archaeologists: Charles Wilson, in 1864, and Charles Warren, in 1867-1870, and was further excavated by the Israeli government about ten years ago. The complex contains numerous Roman and Medieval vaulted rooms, as well as Herodian and Mamluk structures.

After a short wait, our tour started at about 9:30 p.m. There were about twenty people in our tour group. My friend and I were, of course, both equipped with SureFires, and as we traveled into the darkened tunnels his 6P Original and my E2D came to life.

While the tour of the tunnel is conducted on a well lit path, there are many off the tour passageways that spin into the blackness of underground Jerusalem. Normally, these dark portals into history are not viewable by tourists, but SureFire changed that in a hurry.

As we moved along the path, my friend and I began to use our lights to peer into some of the darker regions of the subterranean complex. What we saw was astounding.

Our lights illuminated yet to be excavated passageways and rooms, portholes to other sections of the tunnels, cisterns and waterways built by generations gone by. At one point, we aimed our lights into large dark holes that wormed away from directly above us and revealed fallen Roman Columns yet to be freed from the rubble. The tour guide informed us that these holes were once used by ancient residents who dwelled above to lower their buckets into the underground cisterns. Had we not had our SureFires, these holes would have yielded nothing to us, but as it were, they told a great story.

Before long, we had our own tour group as people began to crowd around us to see what our lights would reveal next. Needless to say, our lights added much to the tour, and we were the hit of the group!

Once again, as in many past situations, I was happy to have my SureFire on hand. The tour of the Jerusalem tunnels was an exciting experience in its on right, and one of the highlights of my trip, but leave it to SureFire to make such a great experience even better.

Thanks guys, I cannot wait to see how I use my SureFire next!

M3 reveals hidden secrets of The King

I own a SureFire Millennium Series M3 Combat Light. When Burger King was doing the Choose Your Destiny scratch-off game that came with french fries, my friends and I thought, "How do we see through these scratch-off slots to win food or prizes?" So I immediately grabbed my M4A1 carbine with my M3 mounted on it and looked through the scratch-off game with it. It shone right through and to this day I have won every single one of the Burger King scratch-off games.
