Product Description |
| The Fenix PD20 is a high-tech, rugged tool that is perfect for any lighting application. It features six levels of output, which not only allows the user to select the best compromise between brightness and runtime for any given task, but also has ability to aid in an emergency. This small but mighty light features the following output levels: dim, regular, high, turbo, SOS and strobe. On the low output level, the PD20 can provide an amazing 35 hrs of use on one battery. The PD20 does all this and still retains an incredibly compact size. Absolutely a great EDC! You will love it

I see myself as a man who loves quality items that are a great value. This flashlight meets that philosophy perfectly.
At first I was worried about spending $50 on a flashlight in general and especially one that's so small. I had my doubts that it would be bright and something that I would carry in my pocket every day. That was over 3 years ago and I absolutely love this flashlight! I carry it every day and let me assure you it's bright as heck and you will use it constantly! I never leave the house without it.
This is my first product review which says a lot about how much I love this flashlight. I did a lot of research before buying it and all rational people have said nothing but good things about it. I even went as far to buy 8 of the new model for my groomsmen. Most of them carry it every day now and love it. I just lost mine after 3 years and I decided to buy the old model over the new one and all the others. A few main reasons, one the low setting on the new model is pretty darn bright and just a bit much for what I prefer. I also prefer no clip and the hex shape so it doesn't roll around and it fits perfect in my hand and pocket in/out. Also the battery run time is amazing! This model does not have momentary on, which would be nice but not a must for me on this EDC and the feel and function of this one outweigh its shortcomings. Just a few of my preferences but the new one has a wider spread and brighter beam that is noticeably brighter (not by much though). It's not the 1 lumen difference between the two but how the new model outputs and reflects the light.
I have also compared it to many other Every Day Carry (EDC) on the market (hours... and also compared to my buddies extensive EDC collection/experience) and in the $50+ price tag the only others I suggest you check out are the Quark 123 R5, and the LiteFlux LF3XT if you can find it. Both can use a rechargeable CR123 unlike the Fenix and all of these listed would be a great purchase imo.
Overall I just love this Fenix PD20 for an amazing EDC choice and you should too!

The Best So Far

I am extraordinarily pleased by the Fenix PD20. Prior to using this product, I purchased a number of excellent SureFire products that set a high standard; but for the price and size, the Fenix PD20 provides the perfect pocket light.
I travel for a living (airline pilot) and wanted a light that would be useful in the cockpit and employable on layovers. This model suits both conditions. The light value and small size makes carriage convenient. It has undergone months of use and abuse without any problems, and the finish has held up well.
What else is there to say? It is a great light! |
perfect light...if only it was reliable

This little light is phenomenal. This is just what I wanted - tiny light, great selection of five modes from the low 9 lumen to the retina-destroying 180, easy to switch modes, only takes 1 battery, etc. I loved this light.
Unfortunately, after 4-5 months of flawless performance (with the mfgr's batteries), three of the modes quit working with no warning and no precipitating event (no water immersion, etc). Only the 180 lumen and strobe modes function. Customer service consisted of emailing me a badly translated document that I had already gotten from their website. Not helpful, not a fix, and now I'm out $x for a light that's no longer very useful or reliable.
Bottom line - this really is a great little light...if you can accept that it may cease functioning at any moment and that you'll receive no customer service. I like it so much that I'm half-tempted to cross my fingers and get another but I need a light that I can count on. This is not that light. Very disappointing. |

| For such a small flashlight, this thing really throws A LOT of light. I could do with out some of the options (like the auto SOS feature) but for the most part there is nothing out there for the price that will perform as well. The only thing that I could complain about is that if you leave it on for an extended amount of time it heats up. |
Brilliant White Light in the Palm of Your Hand

| A flashlight so small that I can hide it in one hand. Yet, it is far brighter with a whiter light than my old 3D cell Maglite. Combine this with lasting so long with one tiny battery (it is easy to carry a spare), it is one of the most useful tools I have. Worth every penny! |
