can energizer lithium batteries damage the light? or should i just use akaline instead
@StrykingHawk Ya you can take it off, I love my LD20 btw.
I forgot to add that oil is not used as I described, the anodized finish will be scratched. Before I got my LD20, I asked other owners specifically about removing the clip and they all scratched their brand new LD20s by not using any oil.
Sure, scratching an EDC light isn’t a huge deal, but that first scratch always hurts the most.
Great review. I have an LD20 as my EDC light and I love it.
StrykingHawk, yes the pocket clip is removable but it will scratch the black anodized finish on the light when it is removed right away. To prevent that I put a few drops of oil (3 in 1 oil) on the body of the LD20 where the clip is attached to and let the oil penetrate for a few seconds. Then I used my thumbs and spread the clip as wide open as I could before removing it. That prevented any scratches on my LD20.
Awesome review, is the clip removable?
great review! I like the comparison between the earlier model ld20. But is the led tint really that bluish or was that just the camera?
