The Fenix LD20 LED flashlight is digitally regulated and digitally controlled. It has two output modes which produce a total of six levels of output. These modes not only allow the user to select the best compromise between brightness and runtime for any given task, but they also help to aid in an emergency. The LD20 does all this and still retains a very compact size and uses a commonly found AA battery. If you're looking for solid reliability, digitally-regulated brightness, and compact size, this Fenix is for you.
KIT INCLUDES:
* 4 AA RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES W/ CHARGER.

Excellent and bright small flashlight

I bought this LD-20 flashlight for $59.95 in January 2010 after reading its review on [...]. It was rated #1. I use it for camping - it is small (about 5") and lightweight so I don't mind carrying it on a walk. On 'bright' mode you can see very clearly and at great distance. It comes with a metal side-clip, carrying holster and lanyard. My brother carries one in SF for self defense as shining it in someone's eyes would make it impossible for them to see (not to metion using it as a downward striking insrument). I recommend buying it as a package with the rechargeable battery pack. It comes with 4 high power AA batteries (the flashlight uses only 2, so you can have a fresh pair ready). What I like about the charger is that in addition to plugging directly into the wall outlet, it comes with a car cigarette-holder adapter, so you can charge it on the road (handy when you're camping and outlets are scarce). I also bought the red lens for $3.95, which is good for night hiking and you want to maintain your night vision.
